Underground motor is a type of downhole drilling tool powered by mud. The mud from the mud pump enters the motor through the bypass valve and creates a pressure drop between the inlet and outlet of the motor. This pressure drop will drive the motor rotator to rotate and transmit the torque and speed to the right place through the universal joint and transmission shaft.
